I'm researching the ancestry of Mary Ella Clark who was born September 10, 1909 in Glenalice, Roane County, TN. She was the daughter of James Preston and Margaret Clark. I am trying to find out what Margaret's maiden name was, for sure. I think it was Johnson. The family lived in Campbell County TN for the 1910 census. James was a coal miner. Mary Ella's mother died in 1911-1912. James and Mary Ella were living with James' sister, Martha Swanson, and family in Campbell County TN for the 1920 census. If anyone can give me information about Mary Ella's mother and her family, I will appreciate it.
