Searching for descendants of James Independence GREEN, possible sons are James B. GREEN, listed under him on the 1830 Roane co census and Don Felix GREEN, on the next page but only six lines away. There were other children still living in the household. James served in the TN Senate from 1827-1833 and was a Roane co delegate to the TN Constitutional Convention when he died in Davidson co on 29 Aug 1834. Prior to his death, he was interviewed and gave family information re where he was born, his father's name, and the names of his two older brothers, Berryman and Thomas. This data was compiled by Jonathan K. T. Smith and copyrighted in 2003 in "Genealogical Information From The Western Methodist 1833-1834." James stated he moved to TN in October of 1803. The interview did not list his wife's name, nor his children's. He married Patsy Medley in Halifax co VA in 1796. He was the youngest son of Thomas and Lucy DAVIS GREEN, of Prince Edward co VA. Does anyone have this family in their records? I have a great deal of GREEN data to share.
