Moore immigrated from Ireland to Roane Co. about 1797. Died Roane Co.,TN. Married Jane Reed. (Was his second marriage - took place in Roane Co. His first marriage was to unknown in Ireland) Children of James M. Moore & Jane Reed: James H. Moore b.1823 Roane Co, TN, d.1846 AR Henderson Moore b.1828 TN - d. 1907 in MO. Hugh Moore Hannah Moore Catherine Moore Alexander Moore (his full brother) b.-(?) Ireland, died(?) in TN George Moore (his full brother)- b.(?) Ireland, d.(?)Roane Co., TN. This branch of the TN Moores was known as the Irish Moores. According to documentation, George was very wealthy, never married and when he died, there was quite a flap and a big lawsuit from relatives who were sure good old Uncle George wanted them to have their share of his money!
