Rev. Isaac Hair is my 5gg father, and died in Blount Co. TN in 1824 I have no idea of his parentage at this time, but do have some info on his daughter Sarah and her family, who lived in Roane County, TN.
Sarah did not die until sometime between 1860 and 1870. Her husband is found listed as Adam Huffman in the 1830 and 1840 census of Roane Co., Tn.
In 1850 their household included, Adam Huffman 56 (should probably be 66), Sarah 61, Sevier 22, Dufat (male) 20, Autney 8 (probably really Anthony Rankin, grandson), and Permelia Rankin, their granddaughter and my 3gg mother.
Adam died before 1860 and in the 1860 census of Roane Co., Sarah is listed with the Rankin family: John W. Rankin 30, Sarah Huffman 72, Elizabeth Rankin 45, Nancy Rankin 15, Anthony Rankin 18, Wiley Rankin 10.
I think I have identified most of their children, and hope the following list is correct.
1. Mariah Huffman b. 6 Nov 1811 TN, d. 28 Feb 1874, Knox Co., TN - married Oney Sypress Harvey 10 May 1827 Blount Co. TN
2. Elizabeth Huffman, b. about 1812, married Charles Rankins 4 Jan 1827 Roane Co.TN. Appear on 1830 census in Roane County, then disappear until Elizabeth shows up again in 1860. (My line - sure wish I knew where they went.)
3. Mary Hoffman, b. abt 1815 TN, married William Canton 30 Dec 1831
4. Elbert Huffman (? still unsure this one) b. abt 1818 TN, md Nancy Beard 11 Jun 1837 Knox Co. TN
5. Isaac M. Huffman b. 1820 TN, d. 1866/1870 Roane Co TN
m. Eveline Mays 17 Apr 1845 Roane co. TN
6. Eliza Huffman, b. abt 1822, d 5 May 1910, m. James Liles 14 Aug 1842 Roane Co. TN
7. John Huffman, b. abt 1822 Roane Co. TN, married (1) Mary ("Polly") Fergusonn 22 Nov 1842 Rane Co. TN. m. (2) Cora _____ abt 1879 TN
8. unidentified daughter b. between 1820-1825 in Roane Co.
9. Sevier Huffman b. 1828 Roane Co. TN, m. Elizabeth ____ abt 1862.
10. Dufat (Douthard) Huffman b. 1830, TN. Died 1866/1870 Knox Co. TN. m. Lucinda (sometimes listed as Louisa) Williams 17 Nov 1857 Roane Co. TN
