I am to the hair-pulling point in trying to determine the parents of my great-grandmother, Lula J. Sharp.
She was born on 1 Jun 1883. She married Thomas Luther Phillips in Wayne Co., TN in Dec 1900.
The 1900 Wayne Co. census shows a Lula J. Sharp, niece, living with William Fraley and wife, Jane. I believe Jane is Jane Louise Treadwell based on marriage records and it is believed in the family that Lula was raised by "Aunt Jane." Also, I tend to believe this is "my" Lula as her future husband was a neighbor according to the census. Jane and William are buried in Perry Co. so I'm hoping someone has researched this family.
Due to the lack of a 1890 census, I have hit a real brick wall on this one. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
