Need the names of the children of the Rev. Basdil (or Benjamin) Brown, Cumberland Presbyterian Minister, who died in Crockett Co, TN in 1877. Rev. Brown was the son of Col. Joseph Brown, who moved from Virginia to Maury Co, TN in the early 1800's. Rev. Brown was born in Maury Co. about 1806 or 1807. He later moved to Perry Co, TN with his father. Rev. Brown married Mary Mays, daughter of Jesse Mays and Sarah (Sally) Smith in Perry Co, TN. In 1851, Rev. Brown moved to Madison Co, TN. In 1865, he relocated to that portion of Gibson Co, that later became Crockett Co. Rev. and Mrs. Brown had 12 children, 7 sons and 5 daughters.
