I believe Richard was already married in 1850 and his age on the 1850 census for bradley co, is age 25; however, on the 1860 census for bradley co, he is shown as having been born in 1830. His wife Martha is shown as being born in 1822 on both census.
On the 1870 census in Rhea county, Martha is shown as age 40 which would have made her born in 1830. Richard is not with her and we have been told he was murdered right after the war by bushwhackers.
Thank you for being kind enough to answer my eamil. I understand that you probably do not have the info. I need as I am beginning to think that these people just disappeared.
Oh, by the way, does your husband have any Bryant, Jacob or George David Thompsonsn his line?
