Hi Barbara,

I am looking for descendants or ancestors of James Dickson/Dixon b. abt 1778 in VA and his wife Jane b. abt. 1783 in Ireland. The only child that I have a name for is James Arch Dickson. From the 1840 census records, I know that they had at least three daughters between the age of 20-30 and possibly other children already married. Of course by 1850 they were no longer with James and Jane who then lived with my gggrandfather James Arch Dickson and his wife Eliza Jane Tedford. I just thought if the dates were close, the Martha that you mentioned might be a possibility. I suspect that James' b.1778 mother's name may have been Martha. Just looking for any clues. Good luck with your search.
