Will of Burrell Ivey, father of Winnie Ivey McAllister found in Monroe county Tenn.

Census of 1830 (Monroe county)show Ivey's and an Athael McCollester in same area.

Some family geneologist are saying Athael is possible father of John Smiley McAllister who married Winnie Ivey.

Marriage of Smiley and Winnie proven.

Relationship of Winnie to Burrell(daughter / father) proven.
Father of Smiley unknown.

Smiley and Winnie later moved to Polk county Tenn. and both died there bet 1870-1886.

Would love some link to John Smiley McAllister's father. (Spelling also McAllester, McAlister)

in 1880 Polk co census shows, John Smiley 70 years old, living in household of son James Knox Polk McAllister, listed as widow, a shoemaker.States father born in Virginia, mother born in Tennessee, male children of Smiley worked in the mines. Polk county.

Smiley's son Leander McAllister also listed in household of James Knox Polk McAllister and listed occupation is Smelterman.
