the Rucker homeplace was located near the communities of Salem and Rockvale a few miles southwest of Murfreesboro. There are still a number of Ruckers still living in this area. They are a very promenient faminly. John Rucker was a State Senator from this area for years. On the wall of the Linbaugh Public Library in Murfressbor is a map that has a lot of the old plantations and farms plotted.
