RE: BUTLER

Hi Bea,
My ggrandmother was Ellen BUTLER b.1875 in Tenn. The 1900 Fed. Censes says that her mother was born in Tenn. and her father in Virginia. Ellen married Joseph N. Travis. In 1900 they were in Bonham Co., Tx. They had their first five children in Tx. and then for some reason their sixth child was born in Morristown, Tenn., which I think was Cocke Co., at the time (or at least NEAR there.) I can only presume that she may have gone home to visit her parents. She went back to Tx. and they moved to Wapanucka, Okla. where they are both buried. Can you match me up anywhere? Thanks for looking! Debbie
