Early Maury Death

Elias CHURCHWELL married Amanda BREWER in Maury County in 1823. There is no sign of Elias in any record (land, census, court) after 1823. Can someone tell me how I can locate death records for Maury County as early as 1830. There are no films at the Family History Center that early. I am sure that Elias is dead by 1830/31 and that his wife remarried and moved to Lewis County.
