My line is Arrendell Arnold. Somehow, the surname was Arrendell and then became Arnold in the late 1700's... My oldest known was John Arrendell - wife was Mary. Their son was William C Arrendall Arnold, born in NC in 1781. He died in Johnson County, Tenn after 1860. All of my Arnold after that were Eastern Tennessee, principally in Hampton and other cities in Carter Co.
Two Arrendell's and five Arnold's served with the Union forces in the Civil War in the same East Tenn. 13th Cavalry.
