I don't have what you need on the Burns side but maybe you don't have Lucy's first husbands will.

Nancy Jane

Descendants of Lucy Darrough/Darrow

Generation No. 1

       1. Lucy1 Darrough/Darrow was born 1803. She married (1) Elida Burns in Tennessee. He was born 1817 in Tennessee. She married (2) Jacob Cagle May 01, 1826 in Davidson County, Tennessee, son of John Cagle and Mary. He was born 1770 in Moore County , North Carolina, and died 1836 in Jasper County, (Berry County,) Missouri.

Notes for Jacob Cagle:
Jacob Cagle married Lucy Darrough in Davidson County, Tennessee in 1826. By the 1830 they had moved their family to Sangamon County, IL., and from there moved to Barry Co. (Present Jasper) by the mid 1830s. Then in 1836 , Jacob made a Will naming sons Martin , John, David, and Jacob Elias. It is thought that Martin was born to Jacob's first wife , and the three younger ones of Lucy. Jacob died about 1838, and Lucy returned to Tennessee where she was listed in the 1840 census of Dickson County, Tennessee. Later she married Elida Burns, and returned to Jasper County, MO. Margaret L.
F. Cagle who was age 11 in the 1850 census was the youngest child of Jacob , born near the time of Jacob's death or perhaps even after his death. Matthew Cagle of 1850 Jasper County, Mo. , later appeared in the census of Dickson County, Tennessee, under the name name Matthew J. J. Cagle , (if one of his middle names were John, prehaps he was the John mentioned in Jacob's 1836 Will.

"Cagle , Jacob. Will dated 26 June 1836. Recorded 5 July 1836." Will book A. page 14. Will was filed in Berry County, Missouri.
