My grandfather was named William Shannon and lived most of his life in West Virginia and was married to a Clara Wilson, they had 7 children. My dad was born in 1902 in the town of Pritchard, W.Virginia. His dad William would have been born around the date of your missing William..I do not have a lot of info as my dad passed away in 1993, and no other relatives are alive to ask. I was trying to research W.Virginia records via the internet and stumbled onto your site. I doubt there is a connection but thought I would send anyway, good luck, nancy
