I just got on the internet again after all these months and saw the postings. Sorry for any delays. I found my ancestor Mary Alice Price. There is still some confusion about the American Indian heritage. I have not found any proof that she was of American Indian heritage. I have discovered you cannot trust many "trail of tears" stories. My ancestor, Mary Alice Price was born to Lorenza Price. Lorenza's father was George Price, who lived and died in White County, Tenn. and his father was Capt. Thomas Price.
