Hi Mike & Bob Talley! I am trying to find ancestors/descendants of JOHN R. TALLEY b.1848 m. Lou Belcher. He probably came to Wilson Co., Tn c. 1870?? There appeared to have been Talley relatives of his in Wilson prior to 1870. His brother Levi had "visited relatives at TUCKERS CROSSROADS" c1865 & 1870??
I realize my Levi & John R. come well after your Byrd however, maybe we contact well back in Va? I have my TALLEY line well documented back into Va. to FREDERICK K. TALLEY b. before 1818 and "possibly" 4 more generations back to a Henry Talley, Jr. c. French & Indian Wars c. 1750s. If we can connect I several large photos. of John R.'s family but can only identify John and Lou.I would like to share these photos. but more important now "who did Levi visit in Wilson Co. between 1865 & 1870???" He might have visited his grandparents because there were older Talleys there in the 1850 census?? Thanks for any help. Dick Farris.
