Have you looked in the GUINN/ GUIN pages? I recall reading somewhere that a Rev Wm Guinn lived in Grundy or Marion Counties in TN. He had about 12 children, I think. I do not think this is my line, though I am a descendant of Susan GUINN, b.1823, of Franklin Co, TN. There may be a distant relationship.

I found an 1850 census for Wm G GUINN in Grundy Co, TN. born 1796 in North Carolina. In the household are:
William G Guinn        54
Priscilla Guinn        45
George D Guinn        19
Elizabeth E Guinn        16
Emely R Guinn        14
Melinda Guinn        7
James A Guinn        5
Oliver H Guinn        2
Robert Blakely        35
Job Shappard        27
Elvira Shappard        27
Melissa Shappard        2
Margaret Stone        23
T A Stone        3

Also in 1850, Wm G GUINN was appointed Postmaster of Cumberland, Grundy Co, TN.

Name:        William G Guinn
Post Office Location:        Cumberland, Grundy, Tennessee
Appointment Date:        26 Dec 1850
Volume #:        14
