1870 Trinity TX, Mary's mom, Lucindie MANNIS 54 TN with family

Rachel DEATON applied for James CW [Confederate] pension 1-31-1923 [needed more proof]; 3-24-1929 Trinity TX.
She stated he enlisted Sumpter, Trinity Co TX; built boats on the Trinity River for transporting supplies, but does not provide names/dates, so don't know if she was accepted/rejected. She d same yr, so probably doesn't matter.
I find no TX CW record for him.
Rachel b 4-14-1848 Sparta, Bienville Parish LA; m. James 12-18-1873 Trinity TX
James d 3-25-1915 Trinity TX, but not finding death record.

Both on findagrave
