UPDATE!
The info I have found has changed my quest... name change was actually the father. "Fate Sherrill" (Loudon, TN) was actually "Walter LaFayette Sherrill" and went by the name Fate. Shows how info can change over time.
Looking into 2 sons - Ray and Raymond. Why would people name their sons such similar names? Raymond was raised by an aunt after the death of his mother. Who raised Ray?
Still trying to narrow down Ray. He married a Jeannette cause there is a divorce record, but where did they marry and did they have any children? Ray's name was Sherrill but he spelled it Shirrell.
If anyone knows of this family, please let me know.
