Clarification of the posting: a Margarette MARTIN married Frederick LaFON in 1843; and, therefore, would appear on the 1850 Census with Frederick, not other family members in the referenced listing. It is my understanding that the 1840 Census only listed heads of households, no children. We are attempting to identify parents and siblings of Margarette. Records in TX lead us to believe that a Margarette MARTIN and a William M. MARTIN, both from Henry County, were related; but, no clear documentation as to being sister and brother.
