James Wilkins, 73, born in GA, father born in VA, mother born in GA
Mary H, 52, born in TN, both parents born in TN

1900 Dekalb County, TN census

James Wilkins, born 7/1843 in GA, both parents born in GA. Married 13 years.
Mary H, born 4/1856 in TN, both parents born in TN. Mother of 5 children, 4 living in 1900.
Nancy J, born 7/1888 in TN
Benjamin F, born 1/1890 in TN
Julia M, 10/1892 TN
James C, 4/1896 TN
Elenor, 8/1883 TN

James Wilkins died 3/22/1932 in Smithville, Dekalb County, TN. Father's name not listed, mother's last name listed as Justis. He's buried in Keith Cemetery in Dekalb County.If you post his memorial on findagrave.com you can request a photo be taken of his tombstone. The tombstone may list his civil war service.This may give you an idea where he was living in the 1860s.

His pension application number was S16561, application location - Dekalb County. If you contact the Tennessee State Library and Archives, you may be able to get a copy of the application. It should show where he was living in the 1860s.

Mary H Wilkins applied for a widows pension, application number W10504. Location - Dekalb County.
