Information on death certificates is only as good as the knowledge of the informant. It's hard to gauge how good Susie's parental info is. She lived at the poor house for a very long time, but I don't know if they really had good records or not.

There is a William Houston who purchases land in 1839 in Itawamba Co. The certificate says he was of Tishomingo County. The land was SE 1/4 of section 23, Twp 11S, Range 9E.
