Bill,
The additional info of his parents has drawn James Alexander MOORE closer in the realtive chart. He was named for his paternal grandfather, James Alexander MOORE, who was the husband of my 5th great grand aunt, who was daughter of Alexander NISBET. He had a uncle named Alexander James Nisbet MOORE
So he now is related not only through my NISBET line, but also the McCAIN line also.
Thanks for the help.
Now just to identify his military history with a unit designation. Once I know that I can research www.fold3.com
Wayne
