James Giles from Tennessee

I am looking for information. I know this is a long shot. I am looking for a man by the name of James Giles. His middle name could be Baxter. He was born about 1836. I have been told there were Giles living in Monroe, Cocke, Sumner, Williamson and Carroll Counties. When I try and do a google search for Giles, all of Giles county, TN comes up. The first census I find him on is in 1860, Flint County, Arkansas. He was already married to his wife Matilda Reed daughter of George Robinson Reed. They moved to Missouri for a short time and then on into Kansas where he passed away around 1887. He could possibly be buried in Farlington, KS. On all of the census reports he has been on, he says that he was born in TN. There is a leaf on my Ancestry tree indicating he passed in 1887 but was born in Iowa. I have learned just because there is a leaf doesn't necessarily mean it is the truth. This is turning into such a headache looking for this man. Anyone have any suggestons? My email is julie_stevens37@yahoo.com or you can contact me through this post. Thanks.

Julie Stevens (Giles)
