I am seeking information that will help me confirm or refute that the woman Andrew Madden married was the daughter of Charles and Abigail Raven Roark. Andrew was born between 1770 and 1780 in Orange County, NC. He married a "Rebecca Roark" in Orange County on Jan 31, 1807. She had been born in 1778 in Ashe County, NC.
One of their sons, Samuel Roark Madden, is my g-g-grandfather and was born Mar 31 1820, in Sweetwater, TN.
Any assistance in unraveling this mystery will be appreciated.
