Thanks for replying. Sorry I did not give enough info. I have tried for so long to find a clue. I am really looking for Henderson Black who I thought was Hardy's brother. After going back 7 generations I found that they were not brothers, but Hardy's mother Lucy Gill Black raised him. Hardy's father Robert died in 1802 and Henderson was born 1806 we think in Person Co. N. C. because that is where Lucy and her family lived. Lucy brought Henderson from N. C. to Tn. where he married Nacie Bazzell in 1821 in Williamson Co. Tn. He then followed Lucy to Calloway Co. Ky. She gave him and Hardy land before her death. I found deed and it said given as a gift of love. I have all the census records for him and also know a lot of info. about his children. He died in Calloway Co. Ky. in 1892/93. Cannot find where he is buried. His father-in-law Richard Bazzell gave land for Bazzell cem. I have tried everything I know to do to find where he was born and who his parents were. If you can shed some light on this, I would appreciate it.
Thanks
Geneva R. Rogers Hill
