In my research, Jack was a new name I had found.I never heard my grandparents speak of him, which may mean he died early or did not live around our area.
I know George died of typhoid fever, but did any of his descendants mention anything to you about the mining accident he was involved in Aurora (around 1901 or 1902)?In the years before my grandmother passed away, I remember her showing me a newspaper article about the accident. Two or three men were killed, I believe, but George was one of the survivors. It is very ironic that he could survive such a major accident and then pass away a few years later from typhoid fever. This summer, I contacted the Aurora Historical Society and asked them to trace on the particulars of the mining accident. If I hear anything back from them I will gladly share.
Take care,
John
