I have been reviewing some of your info on James Edmond Triplett and I have a questions for you. I find a J E Triplett in the 1850 census in the Hamilton, LaRue County Kentucky they listed it on Ancestory as Friplett however when you see the actual page it is an old fashion scrolled Triplett. Anyways the next time I find that family in 1860 is at Canton, Lewis County Missouri only JE is now listed as ED, he is 16 & living with his sister and his grandmother is living next door his mother is found living in Illinois with her new husband. Now I believe that this is my GGgrandfather Marcus DeLafayette Triplett's family everything that we know matches too it. Now the questions I have for you is James Edmond Triplett could his father be this J E, James ED Triplett the age lines are right and I noticed you said his mother is Ellie Young? I have found inconclusive information that the Elizabeth Triplett on the 1850 cenus was at one time Elizabeth Young? Her son is named James which would make sense why J E is referred to as ED. Have you searched for any link to this group?
thanks for your postings..
Edmond is not a name past thru Lafe's family but Edward is.
