Tarlton Haney, son of Richard Haney/Haynie
I've come up with some recent research and it further confuses the issue of Tarlton being the son of Richard. I've not ever been able to see how the birthd of Tarlton was arrived at 1795. Born Sevier Tn, yes I can believe that. Richard (father?) Haney is in Sevier Co. was granted an "occupancy grant" 276 acres on May 17, 1807. there is 1830 census Cocke Co. Richard Haney....also Hampton's and Stephens. Those names to follow to Missouri and intertwined with our Haney/Haynie lineage.
In reviewing, it appears Tarlton may have been b 1780, would make him much older than the posted bd of 1795. That timeframe would fit into the 1830 & 1840 census of Tarlton/family in Missouri.
If the Richard Haney living in Sevier is the same Richard who m. Ann Camp, when did they move from VA to TN? When did Richard marry Ann?
This has been such a puzzling/difficult family to gather details on. Further suggestions/clues welcomed.
