Daniel or James Daniel Bridges

This Bridges was born about 1844. (unk MS?/TN?/GA?) Mother may have been Rachel and father Samuel.
He married Elizabeth Smith b abt 1849 GA sometime around 1865-68. (I cannot find any type of Marriage Certificate). Their first born was Elbert abt 1868 (TN?) then a long span and Ella was born abt 1876 (TN?), two years later, George abt 1878 (TN?).
Elizabeths parents were Robert abt 1825 GA and Nancy Norman Smith abt 1821 GA. (Sisters, Mary and Frances).
I have census info showing everything up to 1900. The "James D. or Daniel" disappeared, according to (I believe) the 1880 TN census, which shows Elizabeth is a widow, living with the Smiths, (her parents). The 1900 Robertson County TX census, she is gone and the children are still near or living with their Smith Grandparents.
Elizabeth married an Atwell or Otwell and they had one (known) child, Clay. I think sometime btwn 1879-1895. I cannot find any info on him.

These are actually my problem "kids"

FRANCES (Franny) SMITH abt 1857 TN-> youngest of the 3 girls.(her sister Mary, married Richard Butler Oliver, found them)
ELIZABETH SMITH BRIDGES ATWELL/OTWELL abt 1849 GA
JAMES DANIEL or DANIEL BRIDGES (AND PARENTS)abt 1844 (unk)
THOMAS ED-EDD-EDWARD BYRD (AND PARENTS)b abt 1876 TN?

I THINK that Thomas E. Byrd "might" have been left an orphan by his father.... there's a Thomas E. that I've seen many times that is living with his mother, a widow, in Arkansas.... Thomas was hunting in Arkansas in 1901, was killed while crossing a barbed wire fence and was taken, (lore) back to Texas for burial...no proof of that and I cannot find WHERE he was buried.

I am totally frazzled on these people and could use some help.

I go to:
Ancestry.
onegreatfamily.
familysearch.
rootsweb.
worldconnect.
genealogy.

I still haven't had luck with this, I hope that other, FRESH eye's might be able to help.
Thanks
