My ancestor Polly Phillips was born aft. 1856 in Jackson Co., TN and died 13 Dec 1907 Jackson Co., TN.
She married a Jesse Lawson. Who was Jesse Lawson? I have not found anything on Jesse Lawson. Does anyone recognize Jesse Lawson?
Polly and Jesse had no children and Polly lived with her brother John Townsend Phillips family until her death.
Jesse Lawson and wife Polly are listed in the 1870 US TN Census living next to Leeann Phillips and Thomas Warren family and John Townsend Phillips family.
This is from the Gainesboro Centennial newspaper:
"p. 2:2 (Mrs. Poley Lawson). "Our friend had reached the bounds of man's appointed time, . . . but there is solace in the thought that her death was in season. . . ." Mrs. M. J. Denton."
