John Beshers-Arkansas-1829 to possibly-1849?
In the book, "The Billlingsley Family in America" by Harry Alexander Davis-it states that in 1854, he and wife Nancy left for Arkansas to visit his parents and stayed for the birth of their son, Elbert G. Beshers and then traveled to their destination-Johnson Co. Texas.
I think Nancy named her son for her Billingsley family brother-Elbert Billingsley who later married a Naomi and also moved to Johnson Co. Texas. He was an early founder of Johnson County in Texas. Her family may have been with them since her mother-Rebecca Shipley Billingsley had been a widow since 1848 in Lawrence Co. Tennessee. She would of had to sell her land first, though. HElP!
