Looking for Jesse Bradley's parents/family and where in North Carolina he was born and raised. He was born 17 Apr 1829 in North Carolina. He married Susanna (Susan) Slimp 25 Dec 1850 in Johnson City, TN. They lived in North Carolina as at least three of their children (Elbert A., Emily Isabel, and Dillard H.) were born there. They moved to Kentucky sometime between 1855 and 1856. Their other children, Henry C., Arthur Augustus, Nancy Evaline, Martha Caroline and Jesse Sherman were born in Flatwoods (Flat), Wolfe Co., Kentucky.
Jesse served with the 13th Reg. of the Tennessee Volunteer Cavalry (Union)as a blacksmith, from Oct 1863 until captured 11 Nov 1864 near Morristown, TN. He was mustered out 5 Sep 1965 and died 12 Oct 1865.
I would greatly appreciate any help in locating who Jesse's parents were, where he was born and raised, and where in NC he and Susan lived prior to moving West to KY.
If anyone out there is researching this same family, I may have other information that may be of help to you. Thank you.
Michele
