I will post piece meal as information is found. Good possible for Thomas F. Rooney.A Thomas Francis Rooney registered for the WWI Draft September 12, 1918, Hampden County. He registered in Chicopee.Born July 2, 1884, bar clerk in Chicopee Falls, MA, nearest relative Violet A.? Rooney, residence Chicopee Falls.
Have not found yet 1900 nor 1910.1920, Chicopee Ward, Hampden Co MA, highlights only for now, Bridget McFadden, head, widow, owns, to the US 1889, naturalized, born Ireland, son William, born MA, Thomas F. Rooney, son-in-law, 35, Pa (petitioned I believe) born Scotland, parents Scotland, wife Violet, then children, all born MA.
1930, Bridget McFadden lives with the family of Thomas F. Rooney and Violet A.Thomas to the U.S. 1895, naturalized, born Scotland, age 45 married at age 23.Violet's father by the way, born Scotland.Chicopee Ward, Hampden County, MAHere's a capture of what I did spell out.Thomas Rooney Thomas Rooney Jr. abt 1912 Son
Marion Rooney, abt 1913 Daughter
Violet A Rooney abt 1920 Daughter
Warren Rooney abt 1923 Son
What do you think?
Also found this odd census wonder at your thoughts.
1920 Ludlow, Hampden Co., MA. Mary Casey, head, widowed, rents 57, to the U.S. 1907 Alien, born Scotland, etc., William 34, to the U.S. 190?, naturalized, 1909?, Scotland and so on, Nellie Rooney, 31, born NY, daughter, married, looks like something was penned into immigration but rubbed out (the rest of the ink on the page is VERY bold) father IRE, mother Scotland, Peter 6, grandson, born MA, father Scotland, mother NY.
Odd.Nellie is not a nickname for Helen that I know. How could Nellie be born so early in MA when her mother came over "later."Thought to post it because I have no similar match.
Would you please elucidate on the Irish-Scottish source, proof, connection for Charles?
Thomas F. however looks promising.
