I have now done enough research Brown Family Tree to realize, I'm part of the Carroll Co, Tennessee BROWN family... my in-laws are actually the first generation to be in Milan.

There might still be a connection farther back... so I'll post some of the earlier generations to see if you recognize any of these folks:

"Elder L. H. Brown" was an Independent Missionary Baptist pastor who preached on the radio forover 30 years as well as pastored many churches. He was well-remembered for his debating. His children and grandchildren worked together in his ministry, providing music. James Brown, Jr. remembers singing and Larry Tolley remembers reading scripture on the radio show. L. H. served in WW I as a Army Corporal Quartermasters Corp.--Infantry. In his early years, he was a mechanic, and had a garage. He was a trucker for Standard Oil Co. when he surrendered to preach. Lillian was a homemaker. Lillian lived in Jackson, TN after L.H. died. Her daughter Thelma, and family lived there with her and cared for her until Thelma's death. Lillian was living in Texas with daughter, Velma, at her death. L.H. and Lillian had three children:              
                     James Elmer Brown
                     Thelma Bell Brown
                     Velma Elizabeth Brown
