Looking for J.H. & Mary HAMMOND / HAMMONDS that was in Marshall Co. TN prior to Jan. 1914. They were in Spring Place,TN which was in Marshall Co.
This next paragraph is from Goodspeed's History of Marshall Co. TN.......

Spring Place has been a village for many years. Since about 1875 the postoffice has been known by the name of Archer. It is located on the headwaters of Richmond Creek. Archer Beasley has a store and McBride &
Compton have a saw and grist-mill.
