Does anyone know where I can get a copy of James Collins d. 1838 Marshall Co TN, will/estate papers? I think when Henry and George W Collins went back and forth from TN to Carolina to purchase slaves that their dad owned, maybe they brought back a slave that looked more white than black that was James or Durham's heir. Do not begin to know how to prove this. But know that my William is closely related and can't prove how. It could be the reason I am having so much trouble. My William was around 14 or 15 when George W. Collins became his guardian shortly after the deaths of James and Durham Collins, the court papers said no known parents.
