Look for info on family of John W. (J.W.) Swinney/Sweeny/Sweeney, b. 1852 -- we think in Marshall County, TN. Family lore says his father's name began with a "W" and his mother's name may have been "Sarah". 1860 census shows sibling names were William D., Charles, Mary, Sarah Jr., George, James, Joymacus, and William P. He later married Alice C. Craig in Shelbyville, Bedford County, TN on 1/4/1875 and moved on to California.
Would appreciate any info on this family, particularly parents and grandparents. Thanks in advance for any info you can share!
