Donna,

Sorry, I don't know who Robert and James Newsom were. The records I have were for Herbert Newsom and Sarah Ellis Harding. The six children of theirs that I have listed (from the 1850 census, I believe) were Elizabeth Harding Newsom (my ancestor - b. 1821), Eldridge M. Newsom (who might have married a McKnight), John F. Newsom (1827-1884), Amanda Newsom (b. @ 1829) , Narcissa Newsom (b. @ 1831), and Herbert (E.) Newsom (b. @ 1836).

My records also show that John F. Newsom's second wife may have been a Margaret E. My notes in pencil indicate that she died after 1905. My typed notes say that John (at least) is buried in Section 6 of Riverside Cemetery in Jackson, TN.
