This is a long shot ... but, have any of you searching in Jefferson County found mention of a Stahl family in the area after 1900 and before 1910? My grandfather's sister, Carrie M. Hill married Charles L. STAHL in Greenville, SC in 1899. In 1900 they lived in Greenville with one daughter, Virginia; my grandfather Herbert H. Hill, and my great-grandmother, Sarah Amanda Bryan Hill. In 1910 they are found in Macon, Bibb Co., GA with another daughter, Floe, 8 years old, b. TN.
In searching the Dandridge newspaper I ran across a mention of a Charles and Carrie Stahl, as great-grandparents of a child celebrating her 4th birthday. Since Charles was born in 1873 and Carrie in 1874, they would not be living today, but can't help but wonder if there is a connection with my great-aunt Carrie and her family.
