SC Militia - Joseph Venable and Moses Spann

Privates Joseph Venable (from Spotsylvania Co, VA - wife was Lucy Davenport) and Moses Spann served in Roebuck’s Regiment of the Spartan Regiment of Spartanburg Co, SC:

Joseph Venable's son James Venable married Moses Spann’s daughter Rebekah Spann n Warren Co, KY, on 22 Jan 1803 (“Kentucky Marriages 1802-1850” by Jordan Dodd).

James Venable appears in the 1820 census of Allen Co, KY, with a wife and six children:
2 sons between 10-15 years
1 daughter between 10-15 years
1 son under 10 years
2 daughters under 10 years

My great-great grandfather Moses S. Venable (b. 9 Dec 1808 in KY; lived in Henry Co, TN; and d. Fall of 1858 in MS) is "possibly" the son of James and Rebekah. We have searched for over 30 years for proof without success. (Moses "is not" a son of John and Sarah Pinson Thompson Venable – verified by present-day descendents of John and Sarah.)

Do any of you Venable/Davenport/Spann researchers have a listing for the children of James and Rebekah Venable of Allen/aka Warren Co, KY, or any information that would help me resolve this quest?
