SARAH ANN (Maiden Name Unknown) BRIGANCE (ABT.1828-1887)
Posted by: Ronald Eugene Brigance (ID *****9482) Date: April 07, 2011 at 17:04:28
  of 1382

Can anyone help supply the Maiden Name of my Great Great Grandmother? She was married to James C. Brigance/Brigham(1822-between 1866 and 1870). They lived in Henry County(1850 Census) and also Weakley Co(1860 Census). And Henry Co., again, in 1870 according to that Census, in which Sarah is listed as his widow and head of household. I don't have a date or location for the marriage, but it was before 1846, the year their oldest son, Anthony A. Brigance/Brigham was born. And it was probably in Henry Co. Tennessee where James Brigance, Sr.(abt. 1775-1850) had his home. After James' passing Sarah Ann moved to Piney, Van Buren, Ark. sometime before the 1880 Census. When her daughter, Lillie Ann, wed Larkin H. GRAY of Illinois in 1885, Sarah moved to Illinois with them. She passed away in 1887 and is burried in Johnston County there. Any help would sure be appreciated. I am related thru John F. Brigance, a son of James and Sarah, and his son Albert Walter Brigance, whose son, Enest William(Bill) Brigance was my Dad.
