John...Thank you for the information. Are you related to any of the Simpson Alexanders in Henry Co. My g-grandfather, S. W. Alexander (Simpson) was the son of Simpson and Elizabeth Alexander. His siblings were Sarah, Louisa, James Franklin (Belle's father), Sampson and Elizabeth.
S. W. married my g-grandmother in Texas after the Civil War. He was 40 and she was 16. I have always had a feeling that he may have been married before. There is a record of a Simpson Alexander marrying an Elizabeth Stiles the same year as James Franklin Alexander married Elizabeth Jobe. After that there is no record of this Simpson and Elizabeth. Any ideas? Thoughts?
