Parents of Moses Clark

Did you ever locate the parents of Moses Clark?

This is not my line:
1850 Carroll Co., AR - Osage Twp. - October 7, 1850 - page 287/144
305/305
Clark, Moses - 25 - farmer - TN
Mary J. - 21 - TN
William R. - 2 - TN
James E. - 2/12 - AR
Mary - 65 - NC
Robert - 26 - farmer - TN
.....

Now acording to this census, there is a 95% chance that Martha is the mother of Moses and Robert.

Now if we check the 1830 and 1840 census for Haywood Co., TN, we will see who is the possible father.

We need a household where there is a female born about 1785, and her being in the 45 year age range in 1830, and 55 year age range for 1840.

1830 had:

J. S. Clark, but the oldest are 1 male at 20 to 29, with a female 15 to 19

James Clark, oldest male 50 to 59 / oldest female 40 to 49

Thomas H., oldest male 20 to 29 / oldest female 15 to 19

So the only one of the above is the household of James Clark. Martha would fit that age range.
..................
1840 had:

Calvin L., oldest male 30 to 39 / oldest female 20 to 29

Hugh M., oldest male 20 to 39 / oldest fenake 20 to 29

Leonard, oldest male 70 to 79 / oldest female 60 to 69

Peter, oldest male 20 to 29 / oldest female 40 to 50

Thomas, oldest male 20 to 29 / oldest female 20 to 29

Jno A., oldest male 20 to 29 / oldest female 20 to 29

The only house hold that had a female to fit Martha's age range, was with Peter at the head.

To me this means that James had died between 1830 and 1840, and after his death, Peter was in charge.

.......................

What this means to me is that the parents of your Moses were:
James, born between 1770/1780 and Martha who was born in about 1785.
