I have a link to Elias and Sarah Davis. Elias born about 1828 was living near Jacob Tucker and 2nd wife Dorcas Highsmith Davis Tucker in Decatur Co Tn in 1850. Siblings should be George Washington Davis, William Davis, John A Davis, Merideth Davis, Susan or Sarah Davis and Darcus Davis. George married sister of one of Jacob Tuckers daughters husband (Nancy Mary Horn) about 1846 in Decatur Co. William Davis married Althey ?, but have no information on any others.

Not sure exactly who the father was or what happened to him. Apparently Dorcas married Jacob around 1835 (his 2nd). First was Nancy Anglin (M. 1818 in Williamson Co and served as exect. of her fathers will in Wilson Co in 1832) but don't know when/if/where she died. Dorcas and Jacob showed up on the 1850 census in Decatur Co. I tend to think Dorcas's first husband was George Davis, but only because his first born was named George.

Dorcas was listed on 1860 census in Pontotoc Co Ms in 1860, and Marshall Co in 1870, but NOT in 1880 so she must have died between 1870-80. Jacob died in 1885. Elias and Sarah were shown nearby in Tippah Co Ms in 1860, but was shown with wife named Permelia (70) born in Al, in 1870. Now this may not be the Elias we are interested in, but it surely could be.

That is all I have at the present.
