I am searching for information on John W. Crowder born ca 1808 in VA and died after 1880. We think that he was married first to Elizabeth. They had one child, Elizabeth Ann born near Memphis, TN August 16,1837, who married Robert Silas White of Ripley, MS. The second wife was Lucy Jane and they had Isabella born Aug 9, 1841 married to William Cunningham Hays, Jamima born ca 1846 married to Andrew J. Smith, James S. ca 1848, Emma G. ca 1850, and William H ca 1852, all born in VA. Ellen A. ca 1854, George W. ca 1855, Martha J ca 1856, John W ca 1857, Chalres Allen ca 1860 and Virginia Lee Forrest Crowder born November 16, 1864 in MS. Two other children are Richard Crowder ca 1866 and Robert R ca 1868 in MS (1870 Census.). I found the family in the 1850 Census in Haywood County, TN
