Does anyone here know the parents of John Helton born 1805 in Tennessee and lived most of his life in Hawkins County.
Married Charity Starnes in 1830. Found in the census from 1830 to 1870.
He is my ggg-grandfather.
My line is:
John 1805-?
William Jefferson 1831-1864
John 1853-1915
Gideon 1882-1931
Tom 1921-1983
John Helton lived in District 2 near Rogersville
and some of his children lived in Hancock County
when it was created from Hawkins County in 1844.
This line recently DNA tested as European R1b1a2a1a1b4.
If you are related or can help with info,
I would love to here from you.

Thanks,
Mark
