It is not unreasonable to presume that Banks Lawson's father was Burrell Lawson. Curren Lawson stated in pension files that he was the cousin of a daughter of Martin Lawson and the cousin of a son of Hennis Lawson. The only proven son of Burrell Lawson was 1850 James Lawson of Hancock County. There is also some speculation that Clement and Burrell Lawson were the same individual. I don't know where the Parvin story came from. Banks never lived near the Parvins, and there is nothing in any document that makes a connection with the Parvins. We do know that the children of James Stapleton were the cousins/uncles/cousins removed of Hennis Lawson. We also know that the 1840 John Lawson living next to Burrell Lawson was likely John Jackson Lawson.

Going back to Francis Mallett, I believe that he was Ned Burton. Francis was said in a pension file to have a notch on his gun and that people were afraid of him. There is a story that a Ned Burton killed Iredell Willis. These cases seem to suggest that Ned Burton was the son of William Burton and Salina Murrell.
