Both parents could be mulatto with brown eyes and produce a blue eyed son. Eye color and skin color are controlled by several genes. These were mixed race folks not pure African. William's mother was living in Claiborne County in 1850 and in Butler County, OH in 1870. She was inconsistently listed as mulatto like Peter Mallett. Notify Administrator about this message?
